Northwest Arkansas Employers Are Making Their Mark
Several major Northwest Arkansas employers earned spots on Forbes' 2026 list.
At No. 10, Rogers School District was recognized as one of Arkansas's best employers for the fourth consecutive year. The district emphasized its commitment to creating a supportive workplace where educators and staff feel respected, valued, and heard, while also highlighting investments in competitive salaries, technology, facilities, and employee resources.
At No. 14, Arvest Bank, headquartered in Lowell, made the list for the seventh consecutive year. The bank credited its people-first culture and employees' dedication to supporting one another and serving their communities.
Tyson Foods, headquartered in Springdale, ranked No. 15, while the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville came in at No. 19. The university highlighted its continued focus on investing in employees and providing the resources and support they need to succeed.
At No. 22, Walmart, headquartered in Bentonville, also earned a spot among Arkansas' top employers.
And rounding out the list at No. 25 was J.B. Hunt Transport Services, headquartered in Lowell.
That's a remarkable concentration of nationally recognized employers in one region.
